Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 4) – The Makati City local government has resumed the free walking tours to boost tourism in the financial hub.

The local government’s International Relations Department is in-charge of organizing the free walking tours, which started this week.

Every Tuesday, the local government offers free walking tour to St. Alphonsus Mary de Liguori Church-Garden Way of the Cross, which features 14 stations of the cross sculptures made by Filipino artists.

The Makati Central Business District is the featured area every Wednesday and Friday.

The free walking tour in heritage sites in the famed Poblacion area is scheduled every Thursday for those who want to experience the city’s rich cultural heritage dating back to 1600s.

The Salcedo Community Market and the Legazpi Sunday Market are the featured places in the free walking tour every Saturday and Sunday, respectively, for tourists who are interested to buy food and other local-made goods.
