Filipino food 19th in travel guide’s best cuisines list for June

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 4)— Filipino food has been listed as among the top cuisines in the world.

This is according to a recently-published list by Taste Atlas, an international food and lifestyle website.

In a social media post on Friday, Taste Atlas ranked the Philippines at 19th place, giving it a score of 4.38.

Ratings were obtained through users’ average rating of the dishes, beverages, and other food products in various countries.

Italy took the top spot with an average score of 4.78. Other European cuisines – Greek, Spanish, Romanian, and French – rounded up the top five.

Taste Atlas has previously recognized several Filipino food such as sinigang, adobo, lumpia, lechon, and sisig as some of the best dishes in the world.
