Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 10) — Talisay, Cebu pride Gazini Ganados sealed her fate as Miss Universe Philippines 2019 during the question and answer portion of the Binibining Pilipinas coronation night on Sunday.

During the final round, the Top 15 contenders were given 30 seconds to answer.

Pageant judge Bobby Barreiro asked the 23-year-old Ganados: "If you win the crown tonight, what can you do to get more women in the workplace?"

She answered, "If I win the crown tonight, what I will do is to promote my advocacy. My advocacy is for us women to fight for our rights and for the elderly care and for us to be able to know that someone is loving and someone is pushing us to whatever ambitions that we have. We will be able to rise from our decisions to whatever dreams that we have, goals that we have, and we will achieve it because of those values, those wisdoms that they gave us."

Her answer won her the coveted title, succeeding Catriona Gray — who later on won the Philippines' fourth crown at the Miss Universe pageant.

Ganados' response, however, earned mixed reactions from pageant fans, with netizens saying she should train more for the nerve-wracking Miss Universe Q&A portion — the deciding factor of every beauty pageant.

Some netizens also compared Gazini to Patch Magtanong, who was later crowned Bb. Pilipinas International 2019.
