Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 31) — The viral dance video challenge that has people dancing on the street is also causing a lot of safety concerns.

The #InMyFeelingsChallenge, also tagged with #DoTheShiggy, has people repeating some dance moves to rapper Drake's "In My Feelings," which features the chorus line, "Kiki, do you love me? Are you riding?"

A popular take on the challenge has netizens dancing while walking alongside a slow-moving car. Police from different countries have issued warnings against this, as the challenge has led to some accidents.

The trend prompted the Department of Transportation (DOTr) to warn netizens to do the challenge responsibly.

"Mahal ka ni Kiki, kung susunod ka sa batas," DOTr wrote in a Facebook post on Monday. "Ipakita ang iyong feelings sa tamang paraan!"

[Translation: Kiki loves you, if you follow the law. Show your feelings responsibly!]

The department listed three main reminders, which included only taking the challenge in private roads, ensuring there were no other cars, and make sure not to break the Anti-Distracted Driving Act. The law regulates the use of phones and other devices while driving.

"To be clear: Hindi po namin ini-encourage ito ha," the DOTr added. "Again, bago maki-uso, isipin mo muna ang kaligtasan ng iba, at kaligtasan mo."

[Translation: To be clear, we're not encouraging this. Before you hop on the trend, think about the safety of others, and your own.]

In a more recent Facebook post, the transportation department clarified that joining the challenge may cause serious sanctions especially for drivers. These include violations of the Republic Act No.10913 or Anti-Distracted Driving Act, and reckless driving which could lead to having licenses revoked.

Actresses Kim Chiu and Bela Padilla took on the challenge, but left a moving car out of their dance videos.

YouTube star Ranz Kyle Guerrero took a video of his younger sister Niana doing the challenge, complete with a live band.

Some people, including "Men in Black" star Will Smith, got even more creative.

If you're doing the #InMyFeelingsChallenge, dance diligently!
