Under Armour opens a new store in SM Southmall
Athleticwear brand Under Armour recently opened its fifth store in SM Southmall Las Piñas, bringing the brand closer to residents in southern Manila. Under Armour’s brand house concept emphasizes on their performance-focused products. In the shop, women’s sports bras and leggings are also categorized by the degree of support they provide; they also recommend certain workouts for each type of apparel. There are also a variety of sport-specific items for basketball, running, and golf. It’s a fairly big store to get lost in, and even for those looking for casual athleisure wear, there are several options to choose from. — MARGA BUENAVENTURA
Under Armour is located at the Upper Ground Level of SM Southmall. Stores are also located at Bonifacio High Street, SM North EDSA, and SM Mall Of Asia.

Love, Bonito opens summer pop-ups around Metro Manila
Filipinos may be familiar with Singaporean womenswear brand Love, Bonito because their catalog features pieces that consider functionality as much as they do style. Think: deep pockets and padded tops, all available in silhouettes and colors that are flattering for different Asian physiques and skin types. This month, fans of functional and flattering womenswear have the opportunity to try on and purchase pieces from the brand’s Staples and Spring/Summer collections offline at the Love, Bonito Summerhouse. Similar to last year’s LB on Wheels, this is a traveling pop-up that will hop from mall to mall throughout all weekends in May. Instead of trying on the pieces and ordering online, this new pop-up allows customers to shop, pay, and bring home their pieces of choice as they would in a regular storefront location. Catch it at UP Town Center Activity Center A from May 12 to 14, Power Plant Mall, Rockell from May 19 to 21, and Uptown Mall, BGC from May 26 to 28. The brand is offering free ice cream from The Daily Grind to customers who sign up for their newsletter on the spot. We hear that there will be limited pieces exclusive to each location, so all are worth checking out. — GABY GLORIA

Aesop opens its third Manila shop in SM Aura
Every Aesop shop pays homage to its local city’s architectural heritage, and the skincare brand’s third Manila outpost is no different. Located in SM Aura, the shop takes inspiration from 1930’s art deco, specifically the Metropolitan Theatre in Manila City. The shop walls feature a sage green color and capiz shell-inspired wood wool tiles. The tiles are responsibly sourced and will be composted in soil upon the store’s decommissioning. The traditional cues play off against the more modern fixtures in the store: an expansive sink up front with exposed piping and drainage grills, a second sink at the bank with a metal medicine cabinet stowing product samples, so customers can also sample products on the face. A scent library features Aesop’s collection of eau de parfums, and a nifty hook right beside it encourages visitors to spritz a scent on any object they bring so it maintains the scent for the rest of the day. — MB
The new Aesop shop is located at Shop 137A-138A1, SM Aura, Bonifacio Global City.

The Editor’s Market to launch Philippine website on May 31
Since opening its first pop-up pod in the Philippines last October, Singaporean clothing brand The Editor’s Market is a go-to for those looking to add quality pieces to their wardrobe. Made with more sustainable fabrics like linen and lyocell, their dresses, tops, and bottoms are stylish and comfy additions to any wardrobe. Up until recently, fans of the brand could only avail of these pieces at The Editor’s Market pods in Glorietta, The Podium, and SM Aura. Since these pop-ups are only temporary, the brand will be staying in the country through its new Philippine website launching this May. Previously, customers could only access the Singapore website, which shipped internationally. Starting May 31, all Philippine-based customers will be redirected to the local website, ph.theeditorsmarket.com, which will feature the brand’s new collections and a lot of fan favorites. — GG

Seiko opens new Premium Boutique at Mitsukoshi Mall
Growing up, Seiko has always been one of the brands I’ve associated with luxury; the brand’s name equated with being “magara” (fancy). But Seiko is more than just luxury. It is also about Japanese craftsmanship and the precision of time-telling.
Seiko recently opened a new Premium Boutique at the Mitsukoshi Mall, just in time to celebrate its 110th anniversary of watchmaking. The commemoration comes with a Presage Craftsmanship Series that showcases the unique watchmaking of the brand in four materials: enamel, Urushi lacquer, Arita porcelain, and Shippo enamel. This series will be available in stores this June 2023.
Another unique showcase of craftsmanship is the homage to the first Japanese wristwatch, the Presage SPB359 limited edition. The watch is a callback to Seiko’s “Laurel,” which was first introduced around 1913 made by Kintaro Hattori. The SPB359 features the “Arabic numerals, the retro-style blued hands, and a large onion crown” which are all recreated in keeping with the nostalgic appeal of the timepiece. The SPB359 is only available in a controlled 2,500 batch, with the serial number engraved on its caseback.
The opening of the Premium Boutique also unveils several additions to the King Seiko collection (SPB365, SPB369, SPB371, and SPB373) and a new Prospex diver’s watch inspired by the polar landscape (SPB333). — DON JAUCIAN
You can discover more of the 110th anniversary watches at their official website. The new Seiko Premium Boutique is located at G/F Mitsukoshi Mall in BGC. Open daily from 10 AM to 10PM.

Beyond the Vines’ Dumpling Bag
Beyond the Vines’ Dumpling Bag gets its name from the dimsum dish because, well, it looks like a dumpling. Take it on a weekend getaway and just dump your clothes, toiletries bag, and other supplies, or just use it as an everyday bag. You can carry it or use it as a shoulder bag. It’s reversible too. In 2022, they also introduced the XS Dumpling Bag which comes in 11 colors, made of water-resistant nylon and still carries the crossbody strap for extra cuteness. Do you want to go smaller? The Dumpling Bag has a micro version. — DJ
