Rachelle Ann Go reprises role as Eliza Hamilton in Philippine production

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 19) — Filipino actress and singer Rachelle Ann Go is set to perform for her Filipino fans as she reprises her role as Eliza Hamilton in the Manila production of the hit musical "Hamilton" later this year.

Go is just as excited as her fans when the casting list was dropped by GMG Productions on Wednesday.

"So... Who's excited Manila?! ME," she wrote on Instagram. "It's happening! 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭 represent!!!

She played Eliza, the wife of United States' founding father Alexander Hamilton, in the West End production of the critically acclaimed and commercially successful musical from 2017 to 2019.

GMG Productions also announced the other cast members: Jason Arrow as Alexander Hamilton, Deaundre' Woods as Aaron Burr, David Park as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson, Akina Edmonds as Angelica Schuyler, and Elandrah Eramiha as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds.

"Hamilton" will be staged at The Theatre at Solaire in Parañaque starting September. The Manila staging will mark the Asian premiere of the musical.
