Ben&Ben postpones concert due to bad weather

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 3)— Folk pop group Ben&Ben announced that its much-awaited concert on Saturday would be rescheduled at a later date due to inclement weather.

“The sudden heavy downpour of rain, strong winds, and impending flooding around the area [have] posed potential safety hazards for everyone who will attend,” the nine-piece band wrote on social media.

“Safety is our top priority,” it added.

The show — labeled as the band’s send-off concert ahead of its North American tour — was supposed to take place at the CCP Open Grounds. Several areas in Metro Manila reported heavy rains earlier in the day.

Ben&Ben has yet to announce a new date for the concert, but noted that details will be released soon.
