Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 8) — A number of movies starring the late “La Primera Contravida” Cherie Gil are now available online for free, thanks to Regal Entertainment.

The film production company created a playlist in its YouTube Channel titled “The Life and Work of Cherie Gil.” It features eight movies of the late actress from 1970s to 2000s.

Among the films chosen for the playlist are Ishmael Bernal’s “Manila By Night” and “Ito Ba Ang Ating Mga Anak.”

Also notably included is “Too Young” directed by Peque Gallaga, Mike Relon Makiling, and Lore Reyes.

The rest of the films made available are “Beer House,” “Sugar Daddy”, and “Problem Child” by Elwood Perez; “Magno Barumbado” by Nilo Saez; and “Sugatang Puso” by Jose Javier Reyes.

The 59-year-old actress died on August 5 in the United States after she was diagnosed with a rare form of endometrial cancer last year.

Born Evangeline Rose Gil Eigenmann, she began her acting career at the age of 9 and has since appeared in over 100 films.

She was best known for her role as Lavinia Arguelles in the 1985 hit “Bituing Walang Ningning” opposite Sharon Cuneta.
