Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 30) — BamBam might have just had an ultimate Pinoy experience.

The rapper-singer of K-Pop boy band GOT7 stayed in the country for nearly a week — with fan meets in Cebu and Manila as well as a concert with bandmate Jackson Wang and YG Entertainment's TREASURE.

Even former 2NE1 member Sandara Park returned to Manila for a surprise visit and an impromptu song number during the concert.

That, among other things...

'Milkfish is the best'

BamBam first landed in Cebu for a meeting with Ahgases, or GOT7 fans, on July 26. His first order of business: sample local delicacies.

The 25-year-old Thai rapper tweeted a photo of his meal comprising daing na bangus, sisig, lechon, and of course, the Filipino meal staple — rice.

"Milkfish is the best," he captioned it.

K-Pop legend and former local actress Sandara Park, who goes by the stage name "Dara," replied to his tweet, suggesting he try tocilog next.

He replied to her tweet with a GIF captioned “Oh fo sho.”

BamBam… Aquino?

On Thursday, BamBam headed to Manila for another fan signing event.

Earlier in the day, the K-Pop idol shared on Twitter he was on his way to the venue but got stuck in traffic.

“Manila!! i'm on my way!! so much traffic,” his tweet read, topped off with a Smiling Face with Tear emoji.

Jokes about former Senator Bam Aquino later made the rounds on social media after some netizens mistook BamBam of GOT7 for the former legislator.

An amused Aquino responded to mentions of him in an INQUIRER.net post quoting BamBam’s tweet.

“Ang kulit! Kaya pala daming nagtatag sa akin dito. Fun fact: Ang tawag po talaga sa akin noong bata ako ay Bambam. At sa QC ako na-traffic ngayong araw,” Aquino said in jest in a Facebook post.

“Tagal mong nanilbihan sa gobyerno, hindi mo alam? Walastik ah,” one netizen wrote.

To which another Facebook user responded, “Hoy vebs, hindi si Bam Aquino yan.”

‘Shot puno’

BamBam capped off his Thursday with an inuman session with Dara in a famous bar and grill restaurant in Manila.

In an Instagram photo, Bambam was all smiles with his supportive sunbaenim (or senior in Korean) while holding their respective bottles of local beer.

The rapper-singer captioned the photo with "She flew all the way to purchase me Gerry's Grill," adding "shot puno" in parentheses.

The hashtag #BamBamShotPuno climbed the Philippines’ top trending topics on Twitter with at least 89,000 tweets, based on data in tracker Trends24.

The Filipino phrase, usually used in the context of drinking alcohol, implies that one must consume a full bottle or glass of liquor.

BamBam sings ‘Ngiti’

BamBam thanked Pinoy Ahgases with a cover of the song ‘Ngiti’ by Filipino balladeer Ronnie Liang.

The “riBBon” act posted an Instagram reel with a photo of himself during the K-pop Masterz in Manila concert, captioned “Manila, thank you. This is my small gift for you guys.”
