Filipinos named 2nd biggest listeners of BTS on Spotify

The Philippines was named the second biggest audience listening to K-pop superstars BTS on Spotify, the music streaming platform said Monday.
"The Philippines is actually the second biggest country listening to BTS," said Spotify on Twitter as BTS celebrates their 9th anniversary. "Happy 9th anniversary to @bts_bighit and to us, Filo ARMY."
The two-time Grammy nominee group has an estimated 35 million monthly listeners, Spotify noted.
The United States topped the list with the greatest number of BTS listeners. Meanwhile, Japan ranked third in the list.
Rounding up the top ten listeners are Indonesia, Mexico, Brazil, India, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Germany.
The seven-member boy band recently released their new album "Proof," led by the its carrier single "Yet to Come."
BTS or Bangtan Sonyeondan is known for their hits such as "Fake Love," "Boy with Luv," "Dynamite," and "Butter."
According to Twitter data, Philippines had been ranked third among countries with the most number of K-pop fans in 2021.
