Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 5) — Veteran entertainment columnist Ricardo Lo, known by many Filipinos as Ricky Lo, passed away on Tuesday, the Philippine Star confirmed. He was 75.

According to the publication where Lo worked as an associate editor and an entertainment editor for 35 years, he passed away night of May 4. Susan Lee, his sister, wanted the public to respect the TV host’s death so details will not be revealed for now, it added.

In a Facebook post, Philippine Star also paid tribute for Lo.

“Ricky Lo popularized the decades-long Funfare column in The Philippine STAR, and was a highly respected journalist in showbiz circles,” it said.

Aside from being a journalist, Lo was also a talk show host for a number of entertainment shows for TV networks GMA 7 and ABS-CBN.
