LIST: PH events canceled due to novel coronavirus threat

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 6) – Several meet-and-greet of international celebrities in the country will not push through due to the threat of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV).

Here is the running list of the canceled events due to safety reasons as of Thursday morning:

-To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You on February 15

- Noah Centineo Meet & Greet on February 16 

- Journey to the Nature Republic in Manila on Feb 22, 2020 with Kpop group EXO

- Author Mitch Albom’s book signing events on February 15 and 16 

- “An Evening with 98 Degrees” The Philippine Tour 2020 on February 16, 2020, February 19, 2020, February 25, 2020

In a statement, event organizer National Bookstore said Albom was “deeply saddened by the news. It also quoted the writer as saying “I plan to honor my promise to visit the Philippines as soon as possible.”

Meanwhile, Netflix, in a Facebook post, shared the message of the lead stars of the To All The Boys sequel, Lana Condor and Noah Centineo, saying they were “disappointed” their trip to the Philippines was suspended and that they hope to visit the country “soon.”

The pair was supposed to promote their Netflix movie which is set to be released on February 12.

On the other hand, the event of the South Korean variety show 'Running Man' and concerts of 98 Degrees and Gary Valenciano were also postponed to a later date.

The Running Man event was originally scheduled on February 9, but was moved to June 21 while the series of shows of 98 Degrees was rescheduled in May.
