Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 19) — A musician was among five people arrested Wednesday evening in a buy-bust operation in Makati, police said.

Marlon Peroramas, who goes by the name Loonie, and four others were arrested at the Herald Suites Polaris in Barangay Poblacion around 8:45 p.m.

A photo from Makati police showed money, a cellphone, and several plastic bags containing what appears to be marijuana seized from the suspects.

The rapper said the drugs, money, and cellphone were not his, and denied all allegations against him.

"Pumunta po kami dito para sa batang may cancer. Nanggaling pa po ako sa radio interview kanina, dumeretso po ako rito tapos bigla na lang pong ganyan," Loonie told reporters
