Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 4) — Prices of fuel products are expected to increase starting June 7, the Unioil Petroleum Philippines said on Saturday.

According to the forecast, the per liter price of diesel may increase by ₱6.30- ₱ 6.50, while gasoline prices make go up by ₱2.50- ₱2.70 per liter.

The hike comes a week after a mixed movement in the prices of diesel and gasoline.

Oil firms earlier raised per-liter prices of gasoline by ₱3.95 and slashed diesel prices by ₱2.30 per liter.

As of May 31, per-liter prices have gone up by ₱23.85 for gasoline, ₱30.30 for diesel, and ₱27.65 for kerosene since the start of 2022, according to the Department of Energy’s latest monitor.
