Mixed movement in fuel prices expected next week

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 21) — A mixed movement in the prices of fuel products is expected to welcome motorists starting May 24, Unioil Petroleum Philippines said on Saturday.

According to the forecast, oil firms may continue their rollback in diesel prices by ₱2.00 to ₱2.20 per liter.

However, the price of gasoline may increase again by ₱3.80 to ₱4.00 per liter.

Last week, oil companies slashed the per liter prices of gasoline by ₱1, diesel by ₱0.35 and kerosene by ₱3.

The Department of Energy said net price increases since the start of the year for gasoline, diesel and kerosene stood at ₱21.60, ₱31.40 and ₱27.65 per liter, respectively, as of May 17.
