Magnitude 5.2 quake hits off Davao Occidental coast
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 4) — A magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck off the coast of Davao Occidental on Monday afternoon, state volcanologists said.
According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the temblor was located 368 kilometers east of Balut Island south of the tip of the province.
Phivolcs said aftershocks could occur following the 5:11 p.m. quake, but no damage is expected.
