Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 18) — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. expects “enhanced collaboration” with the Singaporean government after his 5-day visit there.

In a social media post, Marcos said he met with key Singaporean officials on the sidelines of the Formula One Singapore Grand Prix 2023.

“The discussions with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Deputy PM Lawrence Wong have been promising. Our countries can expect enhanced collaboration on multiple fronts to address common global challenges,” he said Monday.

The Philippine president did not elaborate, but the Palace claimed that the official visit was “fruitful.”

During his stay in Singapore, Marcos attended the 10th Asian Conference and had a series of meetings with businessmen there, where they expressed interest in investing in infrastructure and power sectors.

Aside from business meetings, Marcos was also invited to see the F1 race.

“Later in the evening, we watched Ferrari clinch the podium at the F1 Grand Prix,” he said in the post.
