Malay LGU imposes snorkeling fee in Boracay
Aklan (CNN Philippines, March 28) — The local government of Malay will enforce next week an ordinance that will designate snorkeling areas in the municipality and impose a snorkeling fee for those who will use the designated areas.
The Malay LGU announced on Facebook that Municipal Ordinance No. 394 series of 2019 will take effect on April 5.
The ordinance mandates a snorkeling fee of ₱100 for both locals and tourists.
Vouchers issued by travel agencies will be accepted only until April 5.
