Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 29) — The Department of Tourism (DOT) rolled out the country’s first-ever “Hop On, Hop Off” sightseeing tours in Makati City.

According to Mayor Abby Binay, Makati City was chosen as the pilot site for the bus tour program, a part of the government's push to further revive the tourism sector.

She said in a statement on Monday that the bus tours—which operate from Wednesday to Friday—would promote the city’s heritage sites, museums, and lifestyle centers.

It would feature eight stops: Glorietta 2, Washington SyCip Park, RCBC Plaza, Circuit Makati, Century City, Museo ng Makati, Rockwell Center, and Ayala Triangle.

Travelers can book tours via the HOHO mobile application, the city government said.

The DOT aims to cover more cities of Metro Manila, which would include Manila, Fort Bonifacio in Taguig, Pasay and Parañaque, and Ortigas.
