Pia Wurtzbach reunites with former Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez after 8 years

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 27) — Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach finally reunited with 1st runner-up Ariadna Gutierrez of Colombia after the pageant fiasco that happened almost eight years ago.

The two met in Paris, France during the Paris Fashion Week.

"The reunion you've all been waiting for," the 34-year-old beauty queen captioned on her Instagram post on Tuesday.

The Colombian beauty said she was so happy to see her fellow Miss Universe finalist again.

"When time makes sure you meet the right people once again," she said in her Instagram story post.

The two admitted in their past interviews that they haven't been in communication since the controversial crowning moment in 2015.

Then host Steve Harvey initially announced Gutierrez as the winner. But he later walked back on stage to apologize and revealed that Wurtzbach actually won the Miss Universe crown.

Wurtzbach and Gutierrez's reunion also delighted other beauty queens, including then 2nd runner-up Olivia Jordan of the United States.

"Love to see it!!! Both of you are sheer PERFECTION!" said Jordan in her comment.

Miss Universe 2017 Demi Tebow and Miss Universe 2020 Andrea Meza also praised their reunion photo.
