Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 2) — Rising K-pop girl groups NewJeans and Le Sserafim are among the Korean acts to perform in the upcoming 2023 Asia Artists Awards (AAA) at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan on Dec. 14.

According to a report by Korean media outlet Soompi, the vocal girl group NMIXX and rookie boy groups BOYNEXTDOOR and ZEROBASEONE are also part of the first lineup of artists to attend AAA.

This will also be the first time NewJeans, Le Sserafim, ZEROBASEONE, and BOYNEXTDOOR will perform upclose for their Filipino fans.

NMIXX held their showcase tour in Manila on June 30.

The AAA, which is considered as Asia's Oscars and Grammy Awards, recognizes Asian artists in film, television, and music. The annual ceremony is graced by Korean actors and artists, as well as other Asian talents.

Last year’s edition was held in Nippon Gaishi Hall in Nagoya, Japan, where actor Lee Junho, and K-pop groups Seventeen, NewJeans, Stray Kids, and Ive bagged the top awards.

Korean news agency Star News, the AAA Organizing Committee, TONZ Entertainment, and local concert promoter PULP Live World are behind the awards ceremony.
