Lars Pacheco crowned Miss International Queen Philippines 2023

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 12) — Former Miss Q&A contestant Lars Pacheco was crowned Miss International Queen Philippines 2023 Saturday night.

She will represent the country in Miss International Queen 2023 after she bested 24 other candidates during the coronation night of the local franchise held at the Aliw Theater in Pasay City.

Beauty queens Michelle Bermudez and Barbie Alawi were named 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up, respectively. Anne Patricia Lorenzo and Tamira Willis ended their Miss International Queen Philippines journey as 3rd runner-up and 4th runner-up, respectively.

The 25-year-old Pacheco, who represented Bulacan, succeeded Fuschia Anne Ravena, the reigning Miss International Queen.

The Philippines won thrice in the pageant through Kevin Balot (2012), Trixie Maristela (2015), and Ravena (2022).

The Miss International Queen 2023 pageant will be held in Thailand in June.

Organizers said the Miss International Queen is the world's largest beauty pageant for transgender women.
